The final leg of our PNG adventure saw us back afloat, this time enjoying the Milne Bay area aboard Marlin 1. Our hosts, Wayne & Lee, together with assistant John, made sure we had a fitting send off.

Famous for its muck diving, such as the incredible mantis shrimp, Milne Bay also offered up pelagic interest including a school of about twenty hammerheads enjoying the waters at 40m off Peer's Reef. Wow!

But top of the diving experiences were the manta rays. These majestic creatures left us in total awe. My favourite memory from the trip is sitting motionless on the ocean's floor watching these graceful, velvety giants swoop silently by.
